Correctional Officers

The firm has expertise in the representation of correctional officers who find themselves the victims of discrimination or other improper and/or illegal treatment. Although often represented by the union, our clients often find their union representation to be ineffective. Although the firm cannot represent a correctional officer in a union arbitration, we can take action on behalf of the officer on separate and independent grounds if they have been the victim of unlawful discrimination or the victim of harassment on the basis of gender, race, national origin, religion or disability. We have represented female officers who have sexually harassed and who have complained, only to find themselves the victims of further retaliation.
